INDIGO DYEING IS SOMETHING THAT I instantly fell in love with and I don't think I'll ever get tired of either. It's so beautiful and timeless, unlike some other types of dyeing, I think. Anyway, I was lucky enough to be able to work with Jessica Lee to promote this dress from her shop Willow Knows. This dress isn't even up in her shop yet, so I'm excited to get to wear it. I love the simplicity and fluidity in her designs, and I think that the varying shades of indigo and blue really enhance that feeling. She uses all sorts of dyes, from synthetic to natural to found. I love the unique results from such an organic process. It's such an easy dress to wear, especially in California when such light fabric is still practical in fall/winter. I wore it layered under the most perfect wool coat from Ali Golden's new collection and some vintage boots.
