SHOP EVENS
I first discovered Kate de Para of Shop Evens designs through one of Jen's magical giveaways on her blog Honey Kennedy. I fell in love with her garments, and even more so when she debuted her newest collection for fall. Based out of Texas, it's on trend with other makers of late, like Hackwith Design House and Elizabeth Suzann, but also very much her own vision. The textiles are amazing and the fit is perfect and flattering, as well as comfy-- which always the biggest factor to me when choosing pieces that are going to last in my wardrobe.
I'm at a point where I'm trying to pare down all the clutter in my closet into streamlined basics and classics that I'm going to wear over and over. The neutral colors and fun prints in Kate's fall line are perfect for accomplishing that. I want everything from it! She was kind enough to send me a few pieces to showcase here! My favorite though, I think, is the Stone Kimono in the softest, dreamiest tencel fabric. It's so easy to throw on over anything, and the tie back sash is great for varying the look.
Also shown here is the Silk Smock and Jewel Top, all in a coordinating but versatile fall color palette. I'm currently lusting over the Lou Jumper as well. Get them and more in her shop now. I told Kate that I want her to make me all of my clothing from now on! You can find more shots of the pretty pieces on my Instagram feed @melissasonico
