NATIONAL CHOCOLATE DAY
TODAY IS NATIONAL CHOCOLATE DAY, and downtown we've got one of the best independent chocolatiers around, Parliament Chocolate. I've worked with Ryan before by partnering with his other amazing shop, à la minute Ice Cream-- they have the best made to order ice cream in town with locally sourced ingredients and the most delicious flavors.
It's no surprise that his chocolate is just as delicious. My favorite's are the lavender truffles, caramels, and the chocolate covered toffee-- AND donuts when they have them. They often partner with other local small businesses like Augie's Coffee, which is another great benefit of living in a small town with other independent businesses and creatives! My friend James even did the lettering and design for the signage and decor inside of Parliament, and my sister's friend is one of their amazing employees!
Since it's National Chocolate Day, I was happy to partner with American Express and their Shop Small offer to earn more rewards on my Blue Cash Everyday Card while supporting my favorite chocolatiers and other qualifying local small businesses. The market down the street from me, Olive Avenue Market, is one of the many local shops that is part of the growing number of official #Shop-Small businesses which carry Parliament Chocolate. Anytime I have a craving, I can just go for a walk with Harrison to Olive Market, and I can get double rewards with an eligible American Express Card between now and December 31st!
