MADEWELL PRE-FALL EVENT
I HAVE HAD AN ONGOING LOVE AFFAIR with Madewell since it opened when I was still living in Orange County working at J. Crew South Coast Plaza in the early 2000s. I remember when they opened, and my manager at the time, Heather, told me about it. "It's right up your alley, Rico," she said. (My nickname was Rico, weirdly stemming from my last name-- people would mistakenly say/write Sonrico). I went out to Century City in LA right away and bought up a bunch of their merch. Since then, they've become even more a part of my everyday wardrobe. Their clothing is the perfect blend of classic/casual tomboy and light, breezy feminine silhouettes. Their denim fit is perfect now, too. I just got a pair of the new skinny high riser (pictured at my visit to The Plant Stand) and I want one in every color now! Can't get enough. I think my next purchase will be the slim boy jean (worn in this post as well).
Now, I've been asked to host an event to preview the first batch of fall goodness, and I can't be more excited. They contacted me based of my blog and Instagram, and catered the event to match my aesthetic and blog content: namely plants and ice cream. So, at the event, guests with get a chance to win a few pretty plants from The Plant Stand in Costa Mesa, hand-picked by yours truly. Also, my hometown ice cream shop A la Minute will be there promoting their newly-opened Orange Circle location-- with a signature frozen cocktail (mango, my favorite fruit) and my favorite earl grey ice cream with a fig topping! On top of that, guests will receive a 20% off insider discount of purchases of $125 or more. Super excited to see all of you there! It's this Friday, Aug. 8/1 from 6-8p. You'll also get to see my favorites from the new arrivals!
See you all there! (More info in the flier down below at the very bottom of this post!)
