HP SPECTRE
AS A FREELANCE WRITER, college English instructor, and small online business owner (AND mother), a lot of my work needs to be done at pretty much all times of the day. Consequently, I've been on the lookout for a reliable, compact laptop to help me get things done quickly and easily, whenever I need to. Enter the HP Spectre, the world's thinnest laptop.
I was really excited to come across this beautifully designed and lightweight laptop (at just under two and a half pounds). It's the perfect size for taking to Augie's downtown when Johnny is home with Harrison and I have the chance to update my blog or put up new necklace listings in the shop. It's also great for portability in the house. I can bring it from room to room easily, from grading in bed to listening to Harry Nilsson's The Point on the Spectre's Bang & Olufsen speakers in Harrison's room while he crawls around and plays with his blocks.
One of the best features for me is the super long battery life (nine hours!), which is helpful when I'm on the go and I don't want to have to bring the power cord. I've got a ton of things to lug around what with Harrison's toys, diapers, etc.-- It's nice to have the HP Spectre to help streamline the other aspects of my life.
