2015
THIS YEAR IS PASSING BY so quickly and I have so many, many plans. I want to be more organized, more productive with my writing, more fearless. In all avenues. Also, a plan with a more definitely end-goal is that we-- J and I-- are planning for a baby, which is a huge and frightening and wonderful thing.
The past year, I'd been slowly dipping into things that frighten me-- meeting new people, interacting with new people, talking in front of people-- and I realized that doing things will always be a bit scary, but the fact that you do it anyway is what matters. So I think I'm going to keep pushing myself to do things I might not be ready for. Like Amy Poehler said in her book Yes Please, "Great people do things before they're ready." So I'm gonna strive for that mindset. Do read it or get the audio book! It's so worth it.
Other things that are in the works:
-more collaborations
-more creative projects outside of writing: music, painting, photography, knitting, weaving, ballet
-eating healthily (for my own benefit and to create a healthy growing space for a little papoose
-yoga/pilates/strength training
I joined a GYM! And I have a life coach/trainer. This is huge for me, too. I was/am the most unhealthy eater. Loads of red meat, soda, fast food, fried food, sweets, all hours of the day-- you name it. I was raised on that diet, and I've carried it through to adulthood. I've already made significant improvements in the last year, but I've still got a ways to go.
I've never been one for resolutions. I think it's something that shifts and evolves daily. It's a process, and I'm willing to go through it. Excited to see where the future takes us.
