BIG BEAR LAKE
A FEW WEEKS AGO, J AND I went to Big Bear Lake to meet up with his family for the day. He and I have taken a few days trips there before and even stayed a weekend, but most times we didn't really explore the town. This time we wandered the shops, took a ferry tour around the lake, went fishing (and duck feeding) and ate a lot. J, his brother Will, and his sister Tiff (and her cute little baby girl Sofie) also went to get Indian food, which J has been avoiding trying since his stomach is so temperamental. I'd had Indian food a handful of times before, but this place-- the only Indian restaurant in Big Bear-- was amazing. I always get garlic naan, but this was probably the best (and we also got the cheesy naan!). The tika masala was delicious too. I need to find the name of the restaurant again and let you know if you're ever in Big Bear. You should be able to find it, though, since it is the only one! (edit: it's called Big Bear Himalayan Restaurant and they also have Nepalese food)
Also recently, I tried the beautiful artisan spring tonic tea I received from Briar of Marble & Milkweed. Such a pretty color and the smell of the loose leaf mix (that, among other things, contains rosehips, lemon verbena, and chamomile) was wonderful. Really refreshing, which can also be said about the facial mask and tonic sprays that came in the spring getaway kit she sent. I believe the summer getaway kit is available on her web shop now.
Lastly, I just added a couple new summer pieces to the consign section including some American Apparel clothing and ALDO booties! Check it out.
